Wound Home Skills Kit: Diabetic Foot Ulcers
The Surgical Patient Education Diabetic Foot Ulcers Home Skills Kit provides patients and caretakers with comprehensive, interactive materials to enable identification, optimal care, and healing of a diabetic foot ulcer. Each program contains an instruction booklet with images, and links to video instruction to support each skill section, a self-assessment checklist, a discharge checklist, references for additional support, and an evaluation. The Diabetic Foot Ulcer Home Skills Kit was developed by a multidisciplinary team of the American College of Surgeons Division of Education and has been funded in part by grants from Ethicon, Smith and Nephew, and Acelity.
