Southern Surgical Association 137th Annual Meeting

The annual meeting of the Southern Surgical Association is based on current scientific research topics in a broad range of General Surgery topics. The planning committee has the mission of selecting up-to-date topics that cover the broad range of general surgery. Peer selected abstracts which represent the most current and contemporary issues in this broad range of general surgery practice areas are presented. Members from around the country come together in a unique forum to gain insight and best practices from fellow physicians that may or may not reach them otherwise, ultimately identifying benchmarks and improving quality of care across health care systems.

The Fall 2025 conference was December 7-10, 2025.

By participating in the credit claiming process, you give Southern Surgical Association permission to share your CME data with the CME Accrediting provider and the American Board of Surgery via the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

Ineligible company

Relationships in which the individual benefits by receiving a salary, royalty, intellectual property rights, consulting fee, honoraria, ownership interest (e.g., stocks, stock options or other ownership interest, excluding diversified mutual funds), or other financial benefit. Financial benefits are usually associated with roles such as employment, management position, independent contractor (including contracted research), consulting, speaking and teaching, membership on advisory committees or review panels, board membership, and other activities from which remuneration is received, or expected.

Conflict of Interest

Circumstances create a conflict of interest when an individual has an opportunity to affect CME content about products or services of an ineligible company with which he/she has a financial relationship.

The ACCME also requires that ACS manage any reported conflict and eliminate the potential for bias during the educational activity. Any conflicts noted below have been managed to our satisfaction.
