This DVD will facilitate a better understanding of the most common types of human factor errors, why they occur, and the contexts for occurrence. The program will help surgeons and other members of the surgical team to be vigilant in watching for these errors in surgical practice, and in applying strategies to help prevent them and mitigate their effects. The DVD is designed for individual use or teaching purposes, and includes a toolbox with supplemental resources. Developed by the ACS Division of Education 2011.
