Medication and Surgery is part of the Informed Surgical Prep series of patient education materials. This preoperative patient medication instruction handout informs and prepares patients for surgery. Content includes a general overview of what medications should be discussed with the surgeon and a list of medications that affect blood clotting. The back panel of the handout has blank space to encourage patients and family members to list current medications and allergies.
