Breast Surgery Program Broadcast Rights
Breast Cancer Surgery Program provides patients undergoing any type of breast
cancer surgery the knowledge and training to support full participation and
optimal recovery. The program includes a digital patient guide and a 35-minute
video with an overview of the breast anatomy, types and stages of breast cancer,
tests and imaging, preoperative preparation and exercise guidelines, procedure
options and reconstruction, potential risks of procedures, additional treatments
and self-care and discharge information and surveillance. Separate information
sheets include Common Exercises for Breast Surgery, Exercise Log, Treatment
Summary and Survivorship Care Plan, and Your Health Care Team Contact List. The
Your Breast Cancer Surgery Program was developed by a multidisciplinary program
of the American College of Surgeons Division of Education in collaboration with
the Commission on Cancer, the National accreditation Program for Breast Cancer,
the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and the American Physical Therapy
Association.
